Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre wanted to reduce the energy consumed by its pool pumps without compromising performance or causing unnecessary disruption.

Broadwater replaced the ageing equipment with high-efficiency Grundfos NBE pumps. The wider upgrade included new pipework, wiring, isolators and MCB protection, ensuring the complete system could perform safely and efficiently.

The work was completed within a three-day engineering window.

The new system is using 128,352KWh fewer each year, reducing annual energy costs by £21,820 and preventing 31.44 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

Based on current performance, the original £50,000investment will pay for itself in approximately 2.3 years. Over ten years, theprojected energy saving is £218,200.
